Prestige Maintenance USA Chief Executive Officer and owner Rachel Sanchez was selected from nearly 500 nominees to be named one of North Texas’s top 40 business people under the age of 40 by the Dallas Business Journal (DBJ). Sanchez accepted her 40 Under 40 award during a May 19 ceremony at the Westin Downtown Dallas and is also profiled in a special section inserted into the May 20 issue of the Dallas Business Journal. She says, “My fellow honorees and alumni are people who are extremely inspiring and make an impact in our community, so to be in a class with them is an honor and very special to me.”

AIMG_5648-EDITEDccording to the DBJ, the honorees “represent innovation and excellence in their fields. These dynamic leaders have shaped our community in ways that have made North Texas a better place to live and do business.”

Sanchez is a second-generation owner of the family business started by her parents. During her tenure as CEO, PMUSA has grown into one of the largest woman-owned, family-owned custodial and facilities maintenance companies in the nation. Sanchez serves on the board for the Women’s Business Council Southwest, and in addition to her 40 Under 40 honor, is also the recipient of the 2013 Women Working Together Award, 2014 WBE of the Year, 2015 WBENC Star Award and Dallas Business Journal’s 2015 Women in Business Award.

The DBJ notes that “while the chosen 40 are heavy hitters who are great at their day jobs, they also devote hours and days out of each and every week to the North Texas community.”

Sanchez engineered a dynamic Supplier Diversity Program for PMUSA and is committed to supporting and developing women-owned and minority-owned enterprises and small businesses. She has also led PMUSA in its dedication to environmental sustainability and green cleaning programs.

Each quarter, the company does a charity drive for a selected nonprofit. Nonprofit partners include Shoes for Orphan Souls, Operation Care Package, Mended Little Hearts, Animal Welfare League and many others. PMUSA also holds annual volunteer events where employees and leadership spend hours using their facility maintenance expertise to help organizations such as Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.

“I have an outstanding team supporting me each and every day,” says Sanchez. “That allows me to spend time giving back as well. Even though it’s an individual award this truly reflects the values that our team places on improving the communities where we do business.”
